Bri Cirel is a full time painter creating original bodies of work while growing her career through gallery exhibitions, collector sales, and creative collaborations. Her work has been shown in solo exhibitions in Los Angeles and Manhattan, and she has worked with brands including Reebok and Adidas.

REEBOK X CIREL

REEBOK commissioned Cirel in 2015 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Allen Iverson "Question Shoe," with a specific request to create a design reminiscent of Cirel's earlier painting, "Man in the Mirror." This earlier work, a striking collage composition featuring Michael Jackson, served as a direct source of inspiration for the REEBOK project. Cirel employed techniques involving layering and combining multiple images that seamlessly merge two distinct pictures of Allen Iverson—one from his early days as a rookie and another from his time as an accomplished Allstar. Visible through the contrast of layers, Iverson's memorable quote, "We Talkn' About Practice," appears to emphasizing his relentless determination. The outcome is a captivating portrait that chronicles Iverson's journey from a remarkable newcomer to a celebrated basketball icon.

TAMMIE BROWN X CIREL

Cirel was commissioned by the celebrated drag comedian Tammie Brown to create an exclusive print for Dragcon LA 2017. The design ingeniously layers Tammie's personas both in and out of drag costume, playfully incorporating the text "TAMMIE" through the interplay of these contrasting images. The resulting portrait captures the delightful humor and charismatic personality that Tammie Brown exudes, both on and off the stage, revealing the multifaceted essence of this beloved entertainer.

CIREL DTLA MURAL

Located in Downtown Los Angeles fashion district,

The "I AM SOMEBODY" mural, prominently situated within Downtown Los Angeles' fashion district, came to life through a commissioned project by Pamper Beauty Supplier in the summer of 2022. Drawing from a political poster crafted earlier that year, Cirel beautifully adapted the mural's design to harmonize with the business's color palette. Notably, this mural was a labor of love, intentionally painted over the course of several weeks in distinct phases to unveil its narrative in layers. It commenced with the depiction of the Stars and Stripes, followed by the powerful text "I AM SOMEBODY," and then "NOT JUST SOME BODY." Subsequently, a proud woman's portrait seamlessly integrated into the text, culminating with the woman's form gracefully concealed behind the letters. This thoughtful process resulted in a mural measuring 20 feet in length and 12 feet in height, serving as a profound statement on women's personhood while portraying a dignified American woman who steadfastly demands equality.
